Animal Science Graduate Student Association (ASGSA) is a registered organization at UW Madison. Do not let the name fool you–it is not just for Animal Science Graduate students!
Goal: Provide opportunities for social interactions, coursework and research support, and professional development. Most of all we are a laid-back group that is built around supporting each other. Graduate school is tough, and you do not have to go at it alone. We strive to create an open environment for students to bring up issues they are dealing with and create a place of comradery.
Members are students who have an affiliation in some form (degree, RA/TA, etc.) with the Animal and Dairy science department. This often includes students in ERP or biomedical programs. We are not species-specific either! Typically this includes graduate students but also postdocs and visiting scholars are open to join.
Current information on bylaws can be found here.
