Fall 2024 ASGSA General Meetings

Upcoming: General meeting!

We’d like to invite you to the upcoming ASGSA meeting on February 21st, immediately following seminar. This will be a great opportunity to hear from two of our newest Dairy Outreach Specialists, Carolina Pinzon and Katelyn Goldsmith, who will share their insights and experiences with us.
After their presentation, we’ll provide updates on upcoming events, and of course, there will be food to enjoy!
Plus, don’t forget that attending this meeting brings you one step closer to earning participation prizes! Remember, you’ll qualify if you attend general meetings, 1 social, and 1 professional development event.

    • Need a mid-week pick-me-up? We’ve got just the thing! 🎉
      The ASGSA is excited to invite you to our Coffee Hour, happening every other week starting Tuesday, February 6th. It’s the perfect chance to grab a coffee, catch up with friends, and take a break in good company.

    COMPASS

    Upcoming Event(s) 

    ASGSA will be offering its COMPASS program for the spring semester. This program matches undergraduate students (mentees) with graduate student mentors. The time commitment for the semester is attending a brief orientation (doodle poll of participants; TBD) and meeting with your mentee 3 times during the semester (~ 1 hour/ meeting). Mentors and mentees from the fall semester can continue with their mentorship program if both are interested, but they should still sign up via Google Forms! I’ve attached a slide with more information regarding the program. We want to do a coffee hour a few times throughout the semester for mentors to touch base regarding the program and review mentoring strategies. The deadline for signing up is Friday, February 7th. Please let us know if you have any questions and thank you for volunteering!
